Apple, Bacon & Cheese Crostini

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 24 rounds

  • 3 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • 2 Ambrosia Gold® apples, cored and thinly sliced

  • 6 oz brie, sliced

  • 2 Tbsp honey

  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

  • fresh thyme leaves, for garnish (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Arrange baguette slices on a sheet pan and brush with olive oil. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted.

  • In a medium bowl, toss apples with honey, lemon juice, and cinnamon.

  • Top each crostini with a slice of brie and a few apple slices. Return to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese begins to soften.

  • Top with bacon and thyme. Serve warm.
