Starkrimson pears are named for their brilliant crimson red color and have a thick, stocky stem. These pears are mild and sweet with a subtle floral aroma. When ripe, Starkrimson pears a very juicy and have a smooth texture, making them great for snacking, salads, or any use that shows off the brilliant of its red skin. Similar to Red D’Anjou and Red Bartlett, Starkrimson pears are simply labeled as Red Pears in the grocery store.
